My Saturday morning class is focussed on waking up the whole body for the weekend ahead and letting go of the week that just passed.
Firstly we will bring attention to the moving body by waking up and mobilising the spine and the breath in the rib cage. We will work on integrating the body from the feet to the crown of the head by working from the centre out to the limbs.
Emphasising length as well as strength in the exercises, we will create support for and space in the joints. In this class, I will focus on working through the whole body, so that we balance moving in all directions and working all muscle groups.
Bringing a dance perspective to this class, I like to keep it moving. There will be a few moments of pause in the class to discuss technique, but I will keep a flow through the class and the exercises, so that you leave energised, with a feeling of integrated strength and well-being.
